Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Fatima is the focus of the EWTN’s Family Celebration that will take place September 9th-10th at the DCU Convention Center in Worcester, Mass. Presenters at the event include Fr. Mitch Pacwa, S.J., host of “EWTN Live” and “Threshold of Hope” who was hand-picked by Mother Angelica to teach and share the Gospel as only a Jesuit, Biblical scholar, and papal expert can. Also presenting will be Marcus Grodi, the creator of the popular EWTN program “The Journey Home,” who was also tapped by Mother Angelica herself to host this long running show focused on converts and their faith journeys.
Other speakers include Susan Conroy who made her first trip to Calcutta to work with Mother Teresa and the Missionaries of Charity in 1986. In 1987, at the request of Mother Teresa, Susan was invited to stay at the order in South Bronx, NY to contemplate religious life. Mother Teresa gave Susan permission to write a book about her experiences.
Donna-Marie Cooper O’Boyle is an award winning and best-selling journalist and author of two dozen books. She is a national speaker, and the EWTN television host of Everyday Blessings for Catholic Moms, Catholic Mom’s Café, and Feeding Your Family’s Soul. Her work and ministry are centered on the family.
Fr. Maurice Emelu who was ordained in 2005 by Bishop Gregory Ochiagha of the Orlu Diocese in Nigeria and is now the host of two teaching series on EWTN, The Faith with Fr. Maurice and Word for a Wounded World. He is working on several new projects for the Global Catholic Network, namely Echoes from Africa, Called, and a documentary The Church in Africa.
EWTN Chairman & CEO Michael P. Warsaw will host the popular Family Talk segment with President Doug Keck (“EWTN Bookmark”), EWTN Chaplain Father Joseph Mary Wolfe, and the Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word. Keck will also emcee the event. Attendance is free and guests will also have the opportunity to be part of a studio audience for a taping of a special “EWTN Family Celebration Live Show,” celebrate Mass with Worcester Bishop Robert J. McManus and EWTN’s Friars, and meet EWTN hosts and authors while browsing the EWTN Religious Catalogue shop.
