Catholic Priest Receives Two Publishing Awards

Father Jeffrey Kirby, administrator of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Indian Land, SC, has won two awards in the Association of Catholic Publishers (ACP) 2017 Excellence in Publishing Awards, which recognizes the best in Catholic publishing. Father Kirby was recognized twice in the Resources for Ministry – Programs category for his programs “Doors of Mercy: Exploring God’s Covenant with You,” which took first place, and “Luke: The Gospel of Mercy,” which took third place.

It is uncommon for an author to receive two awards in the same category; however, Kirby’s work was doubly recognized because of its exceptional portrayals of grace, mercy, and faith.
“Doors of Mercy: Exploring God’s Covenant with You” is an eight-week study created in response to the Jubilee Year of Mercy. It is intended to lead participants into a deeper understanding and experience of God’s love and mercy. “Luke: The Gospel of Mercy” is an 18-week Bible study program from Catholic Scripture Study International that explores the parables of mercy found in the Gospel of Luke and it brings Luke to life with world-class video shot on location in Rome and Assisi.

Both are Saint Benedict Press/TAN Books titles and were released last year.
