Both Father Chris Alar, MIC and Father Donald Calloway, MIC of the Marians of the Immaculate Conception Will Participate in the 2018 CMN Trade Show

Anyone who is familiar with the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary knows what an exceptional order it is and how God has blessed the congregation with an abundance of wonderful faith-filled priests. Two of those priests will be participating in the upcoming 2018 International CMN Trade Show which will be taking place in Lancaster, PA., July 31st through August 3rd.  Father Chris Alar, MIC and Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC will both be at our event and both are experts in both Mariology and the message of Divine Mercy. Father Calloway is currently the Vice Provincial and Vocation Director for the Congregation and is stationed near Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH while Father Alar serves as “Fr. Joseph” a title given to the director of the Association of Marian Helpers, living in Stockbridge, Mass., home of the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy.

Both of these wonderful and very interesting young priests found their priestly vocation in a somewhat unusual way. Father Alar, received a BS in industrial engineering and an MBA from the University of Michigan, and after working several years at a Fortune 500 company, he began his own consulting company in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2000, before answering the Lord’s call to the priesthood. Father Calloway path was even more indirect as he was a surfing “rock and roller” that included a life-threatening involvement with drug and law officials.

Father Calloway will be the main Celebrant and Homilist at our opening Mass on August 1st. His newest book is  St. Joseph Gems, Daily Wisdom on our Spiritual Father. The book contains the largest collection of quotes on St. Joseph in any book in print.  Many of the quotes on St. Joseph is from saints and are appearing in English for the first time. The book is endorsed by Cardinal Robert Sarah and would make an outstanding daily devotional.

Father Calloway’s latest DVD is The Rosary Spiritual Sword of Our Lady. The DVD is the likely the most comprehensive presentation ever given on the rosary, is perfect for prayer groups, parishes and families, covers the entire history of the rosary including its miracles, victories and champions, and is filmed at the parish of Fr. Rick Heilman in Wisconsin and is endorsed by Fr. Rick Heilman.

Father Chris’ book There’s Hope: Grieving Suicide addresses the hard issue of suicide honestly and pastorally and draws from the teaching of the Church and his own experience of losing his grandmother to suicide. In the book Father Chris explains that there’s hope for the salvation of those who’ve died by their own hand, and there’s hope for the healing of those whom they’ve left behind.
